[Arc 1 Concluded]

When a horror game selects you as a player, you have two choices: clear the stage, or die.

Wen Ruyu is the exception. Though dragged into this infinite loop, he isn't a survivor—he’s a Special NPC Player. To balance the difficulty of certain dungeons, he is transmigrated into the timeline before the tragedy strikes. His mission? To play the "Cannon Fodder NPC"—the very catalyst of the horror.

If he can soothe the Boss’s resentment and lower the game's difficulty, he clears the level. Wen Ruyu thought it would be a walk in the park. He didn’t expect his "natural-born sicko-magnet" constitution would cause the difficulty to skyrocket instead. He nearly ended up devoured by the very nightmare he was sent to fix.

Instance One: [The Catfish Scammer]
Wen Ruyu transmigrates into a "Sea King" (pro-fisher) who steals photos to juggle multiple online boyfriends. In the original plot, the deceived men were so enraged they hunted down and slaughtered the actual owner of the photos. The victim’s grievance was so deep it birthed a horrific game world.

Wen Ruyu’s plan: expose his own lies so the "fish" would focus their murderous intent on him instead of the innocent victim.
However...

"Why did you steal his photos? Because you're obsessed with his face?"
"You love him that much? You even used his identity to date us?"
"Heh... you actually tried to dump us for him? How touching. Too bad—it's too late."
"Since you love his eyes so much, why don't I gouge them out and give them to you as a gift?"

Wen Ruyu: "!!!?"

Instance Two: [The Gold-Digging School Beauty]
The original host was a mercenary school idol who bled his "fish" dry to fund his secret crush. When that crush died, the host burned all his admirers alive in a fit of madness, creating a new nightmare instance.

Quick Guide:

Sliced-up ML: The Male Leads are different "shards" of the same person. All are sickos, and all are virgins.

MC isn't dumb: The author is. (Focus on this point).

Pacing: Slow-burn.
