Chu Junheng’s gaze darkened instantly, and the pressure around him dropped sharply.

Even the humidity in the air seemed to fall several degrees.

Chu Junheng was seated in the center of the private room. His status was obvious at a glance. Quite a few people inside were carefully watching him, afraid of accidentally angering him.

So the moment his expression changed, the others immediately noticed. Their hearts skipped a beat, and the entire room fell silent in an instant.

They subconsciously followed Chu Junheng’s line of sight and saw the waiter setting down the alcohol, confusion flashing in their eyes.

Most of the people in the room were unfamiliar with Fu Qingfeng and had never seen him before. But Jin Duoduo and Zhang Yang were different. They knew Fu Qingfeng.

What was wrong with this waiter?

Did he offend Young Master Chu?

The moment the two of them saw Fu Qingfeng, an uneasy premonition rose in their hearts. When they followed Chu Junheng’s gaze and it landed on Fu Qingfeng’s wrist, their eyes widened in shock.

That watch…

Wasn’t that Young Master Chu’s watch?

That watch had been Chu Junheng’s eighteenth birthday gift, the last present his grandmother gave him before she passed away. It meant something extraordinary to him.

They had personally seen Chu Junheng give the watch to Wen Ruyu.

But now, the watch was on Fu Qingfeng’s wrist.

There was only one possibility left.

Wen Ruyu had taken the gift Chu Junheng gave him and passed it on to Fu Qingfeng.

Cold sweat broke out instantly on Jin Duoduo and Zhang Yang. They did not dare breathe too loudly, nor did they dare look at Chu Junheng’s expression again.

Wen Ruyu really had guts…

How did he dare give away something Young Master Chu had given him?

Chu Junheng had naturally recognized the watch as the one he had given Wen Ruyu.

His gaze moved slowly from the watch up to Fu Qingfeng’s face, carrying an indescribable gloom and danger.

The noise in the private room had long since stopped. Everyone present had gone quiet, the silence so complete that even the drop of a pin could have been heard.

Fu Qingfeng also sensed the oppressive gaze. His brows tightened slightly. After setting down the alcohol, he turned to leave.

But he had only just taken a step when Chu Junheng’s low voice sounded behind him, carrying the force of command and the dominance of someone in power.

"Stop."

A waiter’s job was not only to serve drinks, but also to satisfy guests’ reasonable requests.

Fu Qingfeng immediately halted. Holding the tray, he turned around and nodded politely at Chu Junheng.

"Sir, is there anything else you need?"

Chu Junheng casually lifted his eyes and spoke in an even tone.

"The watch on your wrist."

"Where did it come from?"

If this had been any other private room, Fu Qingfeng would have refused to answer on the grounds that it was a private matter.

But this room had been specifically emphasized by the floor manager.

It was a room ordinary people could not afford to offend.

Fu Qingfeng was not a fool ignorant of the world. After a brief pause, he answered quietly.

"A friend gave it to me."

"A friend?" Chu Junheng let out a cold laugh. He spoke unhurriedly, yet there was something dangerous in his tone.

"This friend of yours—Wen Ruyu, is it?"

When Fu Qingfeng heard the familiar name, his grip on the tray tightened slightly. He instantly realized the man in front of him knew Wen Ruyu.

Very likely, he was one of Wen Ruyu’s admirers.

Wen Ruyu had many admirers. More than once they had made a scene in front of him. Every time, he had only found it annoying.

But this time—

He inexplicably felt uncomfortable.

He did not know why.

Looking at the man’s lofty posture and the dismissive look in his eyes, the discomfort in his heart became more pronounced.

Fu Qingfeng suppressed the feeling and raised his eyes, speaking calmly.

"Yes."

Chu Junheng was not surprised by the answer. He toyed with the box in his hand.

"Do you know how much that watch is worth?"

Without waiting for Fu Qingfeng to reply, Chu Junheng leisurely stated a number.

"Thirty million."

Fu Qingfeng froze slightly when he heard the number. After processing it, his eyes widened. He instinctively raised his hand to look at the watch.

Thirty million…?

For Fu Qingfeng, that was an astronomical figure.

When he had first seen the intricate craftsmanship of the watch, he had guessed it might be expensive. But he had never imagined it would cost thirty million.

For a moment, he was stunned.

Seeing his reaction, the contempt in Chu Junheng’s eyes deepened.

"If I call the police and say you stole my watch, what do you think will happen?"

"I didn’t steal it," Fu Qingfeng immediately retorted.

Chu Junheng chuckled softly, as if amused, or perhaps mocking his naivety.

"Can you afford this watch?"

"Do you have the receipt?"

Fu Qingfeng’s fingers clenched abruptly, his knuckles turning white.

He did not.

After a moment of silence, Fu Qingfeng finally said evenly,

"I told you, it was a gift from a friend. If you want to call the police, go ahead."

Chu Junheng smiled faintly.

"Do you think just because you didn’t do it, nothing will happen?"

"Ordinary people don’t gift someone a thirty million watch. If I report it lost, do you think you and Wen Ruyu might both be taken in?"

"After all, the watch is on your wrist. That’s a fact."

Fu Qingfeng’s expression darkened. He removed the watch without emotion, stepped forward, and held it out to Chu Junheng.

"Take it back."

"Dirty."

Chu Junheng did not even glance at it. His tone was light.

"I don’t want it anymore."

Then he lifted his eyes slightly, sounding even more indifferent.

"Also, I don’t like it when I’m sitting and someone stands while talking to me."

Before Fu Qingfeng could react, a sharp pain shot through his right knee. Someone had kicked him viciously, forcing him down onto one knee.

He instinctively tried to stand, but someone pressed down hard on his shoulder. The force was so great he could not move, forced to brace himself on the floor with his hands to avoid collapsing completely.

Only then did Chu Junheng look somewhat satisfied. He looked down at Fu Qingfeng from above, his eyes full of disdain.

"Not that handsome either."

In truth, Fu Qingfeng’s looks were far from ordinary. Even compared to Chu Junheng, the noble young master of a prestigious family, it could only be said that each had his own kind of attractiveness.

Perhaps Fu Qingfeng was even more likable.

Not in appearance, but in temperament and personality.

Chu Junheng carried the refined nobility cultivated from a lifetime of privilege, an arrogance that made others afraid to offend him.

Fu Qingfeng, on the other hand, was cold and aloof. Even forced into a disheveled kneel on the floor, there was a trace of gloomy stubbornness about him that made people’s hearts ache more easily.

But no one present dared to say such words.

It was obvious Chu Junheng disliked this waiter.

Fu Qingfeng finally understood what this was about. He looked up at Chu Junheng and spoke calmly, yet with certainty.

"You’re jealous of me."

The smile on Chu Junheng’s face faded.

"Jealous of you?"

"What do you have that’s worth my jealousy?"

"Your poverty?"

Fu Qingfeng replied evenly,

"Wen Ruyu likes me."

The words fell.

The smile vanished completely from Chu Junheng’s face. The hostility around him nearly overflowed.

"What does he like about you?"

"That face of yours?"

"If I ruin that face, do you think he’d still like you?"

After saying that, Chu Junheng stood up, casually grabbed an unopened bottle of alcohol from the table, and smashed it hard against the edge.

With a sharp crash, the bottle shattered, leaving only half a jagged neck of glass.

He stepped forward and pressed the sharp glass edge against Fu Qingfeng’s face.

The shard was extremely sharp. Chu Junheng did not hold back. The moment it touched skin, it sliced through, and a thin line of bright red blood immediately seeped out.

The sting made Fu Qingfeng’s pupils shrink slightly.

There was not a trace of joking in Chu Junheng’s eyes.

He meant it.

He truly intended to destroy his face.

Fu Qingfeng had never cared much about his appearance. Yet at this moment, for reasons unknown, his heart tightened.

A surge of fury rushed to his head. He suddenly shook off the person restraining him and clenched his fist, throwing a punch at Chu Junheng.

Chu Junheng reacted swiftly. He sidestepped to avoid it, then kicked Fu Qingfeng in the abdomen.

Fu Qingfeng let out a muffled groan and staggered back several steps.

The others in the room were already stunned. Seeing that Fu Qingfeng dared to strike Chu Junheng, they immediately surrounded him.

At that moment, the private room door was violently pushed open with a loud bang.

Everyone instinctively turned.

The next second, they all froze.

It was Wen Ruyu.

Wen Ruyu had been idling backstage. When Fu Qingfeng had not returned and he heard from a passing waiter that something seemed to have happened in the private room on the fifth floor, unease rose in his heart.

The fifth floor was exactly where Fu Qingfeng had gone.

By normal serving speed, he should have returned long ago.

But today he had not.

Wen Ruyu immediately ran to the fifth floor.

Fortunately, it seemed he had made it in time.

Seeing Fu Qingfeng surrounded in the center, with people holding bottles and other objects, Wen Ruyu rushed forward and shielded him.

He looked up at the crowd, his voice urgent and angry.

"What are you doing?"

"Fighting is illegal!"

The others recognized Wen Ruyu and also knew Chu Junheng was one of his devoted admirers. For a moment, they did not dare act again and instead looked hesitantly at Chu Junheng.

Chu Junheng walked slowly up to Wen Ruyu. He looked at him, his voice low and unreadable.

"You gave the gift I gave you to him?"

Wen Ruyu’s heart skipped when he saw Chu Junheng present. He did not want conflict with him.

But he had no choice.

He had to maintain his persona.

Meeting Chu Junheng’s gaze, he spoke coldly.

"So what if I did?"

"Didn’t you say that once you give me something, it’s mine? I can give it to whoever I want."

"What? Do you want the watch back too?"

Darkness churned in Chu Junheng’s eyes. His voice was light, yet it carried a chilling danger.

"You give the gift I gave you to him, yet you refuse to accept my gift. Is that it?"

Wen Ruyu’s scalp tingled slightly. His slender pale fingers trembled faintly, but no emotion showed on his face.

"So what if I do?"

"I don’t like you. I don’t like your gifts. And I won’t accept any more from you."

Chu Junheng looked at him quietly for a long moment.

Finally, the corner of his lips curled into a sick smile.

He spoke one word.

"Beat him."

Beat him?

Before Wen Ruyu could react, his wrist was seized by Chu Junheng and he was yanked aside with force.

The others immediately swarmed forward and began attacking Fu Qingfeng.

Wen Ruyu finally understood.

His eyes widened. He struggled desperately to break free, trying to reach Fu Qingfeng.

But Chu Junheng’s grip was too strong. No matter how he used both hands and feet, he could not break free.

Fu Qingfeng could not fight off so many at once. Nearly overwhelmed, he was beaten, a streak of blood appearing at the corner of his mouth.

Wen Ruyu’s eyes reddened in desperation, moisture gathering in them. Looking at Fu Qingfeng being beaten, his trembling voice carried a hint of tears.

"Stop hitting him."

"Stop!"

No one listened.

Wen Ruyu could only look at Chu Junheng, his voice shaking.

"Chu Junheng, what exactly do you want?"

Chu Junheng raised his hand slightly.

The others immediately stopped.

He held out the box in his hand to Wen Ruyu and spoke lazily.

"Now."

"The gift I’m giving you."

"Do you want it?"
