Cha Ikyung, the unruly youngest son of a powerful crime-family-turned-business-conglomerate, first encounters rookie idol Yoo Shinseong by chance at a local festival.

At first, his interest is anything but innocent.

Yet before he knows it, ten years have passed—and Ikyung has become Shinseong's devoted fan.

There is only one problem.

Even after ten years, Yoo Shinseong is still the leader of a hopelessly unsuccessful idol group.

Then one day, Ikyung is stabbed after a betrayal within his organization.

When he opens his eyes again, he is no longer Cha Ikyung.

He has awakened inside the body of Yoon Jaeha, the youngest member of the declining boy group Xenix. Known by the stage name Damian, Jaeha was already an unpopular member, and after disappearing from activities for an extended period, he was practically considered to have left the group.

Before Ikyung can even figure out why he has ended up in someone else's body, he learns that Yoo Shinseong will be appearing on the idol survival show Rewrite Stars.

Naturally, there is only one thing to do.

Join the show.

“I’m the one who likes him. I’m his fan.”

Now inhabiting the body of Yoon Jaeha, Ikyung openly follows Shinseong around, leaving the older idol increasingly confused.

Why is this kid so attached to him when they have never even met before?

But as the competition continues, Shinseong slowly begins to let Jaeha into his life.

Ikyung only wanted the chance to see his favorite idol up close.

He certainly never planned on getting this close.

And when Rewrite Stars reveals its brutal condition—that every eliminated contestant must permanently retire from the entertainment industry—Ikyung gains a new objective:

Make sure Yoo Shinseong wins.

And survive for as long as possible so he can remain by his side.
